About Us
Who We Are
Indivisible Lynnwood is a local grassroots group made up of concerned citizens, neighbors, and community members in Lynnwood, Washington and the surrounding area. We come from diverse backgrounds but share a common commitment to protecting democratic values and building a more just, equitable community.
Our Connection to Indivisible National
We are a local chapter of Indivisible, a nationwide grassroots movement that began in 2017. Inspired by a practical guide for civic engagement written by former congressional staffers, the Indivisible movement has grown into thousands of local groups across every state, working together to defend democracy and hold elected officials accountable.
What We Do
- Community Organizing — We host regular meetings, phone banks, canvassing sessions, and community events to engage our neighbors in civic life.
- Legislative Advocacy — We track legislation at the local, state, and federal levels and mobilize our members to contact their representatives on key issues.
- Voter Engagement — We work to increase voter registration, education, and turnout in our community.
- Coalition Building — We partner with other progressive organizations and community groups to amplify our impact.
Our Values
- Democracy — We believe in government of, by, and for the people.
- Justice — We fight for racial, social, economic, and environmental justice.
- Inclusion — We welcome everyone and strive to create spaces where all voices are heard.
- Accountability — We hold our elected officials accountable to their constituents.
- Action — We believe that showing up, speaking out, and taking action creates change.
